I am a French archaeologist working at Stockholm University. I specialise in zooarchaeology (the study of animal bones found on archaeological sites) and the Middle Ages. I’m currently working on climate change in the Middle Ages in France and the relationship between man, animals and the environment. All based on the rubbish of our ancestors!
When we meet, I’ll explain how, from a bone, we can determine the species and age of an animal, how meat was cooked or how animals were used during their lifetime, and finally, how all this helps us to better understand past societies (rich/poor; town/country, etc.).

Därför forskar jag: I’m curious and I wanted to get to know these people who lived centuries before us.
