How your choices shape the world: The power of influence on what we eat and the Planet

I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at Örebro University, and in my research I am interested in exploring how people influence each other in their daily lives, particularly when it comes to making choices about food and the environment. My work focuses on understanding the factors that encourage or hinder more sustainable consumption habits.

In various research projects, I study the ways in which social interactions can drive behaviour change towards environmental sustainability. I’ve looked for example at how people imitate each other in restaurant settings, at the influence of conversations and observed behaviours among friends, at home and at school, and at effects of social networks on eating different food. By studying these patterns, I aim to uncover how we can collectively move toward a more sustainable future, starting with the food we consume.

Praktisk information

I can answer in Swedish and listen to the youths in Swedish, but the presentation needs to be in English; I am also fluent in German and Spanish, if of help
