Cell therapy for difficult-to-heal skin wounds

Difficult-to-heal skin wounds is a common problem that affects the patient’s life quality and constitute a burden on the health economy. My group applied novel approaches for treatment with cell based therapy. We obtain healthy skin from the patient, prepare a single cell solution and apply it to the wound area. Twenty patients have already received this treatment. We are also starting a new study to treat the wounds with a specific type of stem cells.
