Världen som en insekt ser den

I grew up on a farm in Australia surrounded by animals. I was always fascinated by their personalities and cognitive abilities, which science never seemed to give them credit for. I was so interested in how brains work that I obtained degrees in both philosophy and neuroscience. I then jumped at the chance to study the brains and behaviour of insects whose cognitive abilities were frequently underestimated. Since this beginning, nearly 20 years ago, I have dedicated my scientific career to understanding how insects perceive their world and how this drives their complex behaviours.
